Student Residences

UNC Asheville’s first apartment-style housing will increase the available on-campus living options by almost 300-beds. Designed to foster community, the six buildings will feature four-, five- and six-bed configurations, with laundry rooms on site and full kitchens in each apartment. The sixth building, located closest to University Heights, will have a multipurpose room/visitors center, a fitness room and an apartment for the community director.

Located adjacent to Brown Hall, students living in the new residence hall will be less than a 10-minute walk to their classes. Adjacent parking is planned as part of construction project.

Community Input

Project planning for the new residence hall included a feasibility study, student survey, and campus meetings.

Estimated Cost

$33,795,000

Timeline

Construction of apartment-style housing at UNC Asheville begins in Spring 2017.
